 Ethics of stem cell research:
Stem cell research has raised hopes for future treatment with cell transplantation therapy. This treatment could be offered to people with many different serious chronic diseases which are caused by the degeneration of cells, such as in the case of diabetes and Parkinson’s Disease.

The European Commission’s website on Advanced Therapies.
Advanced therapy medicinal products are new medical products based on genes (gene therapy), cells (cell therapy) and tissues (tissue engineering). These advanced therapies herald revolutionary treatments of a number of diseases or injuries, such as skin in burn victims, Alzheimer, cancer or muscular dystrophy. They have a huge potential for patients and industry.

LuCamp
The Danish-Sino initiatives aim to read the human genome and the gut microbiome to improve metabolic and cardiovascular health of the at-risk population.

BCBC
Beta Cell Biology Consortium.
The mission of the Beta Cell Biology Consortium (BCBC) is to facilitate interdisciplinary approaches that will advance our understanding of pancreatic islet development and function with the long-term goal of developing a cell-based therapy for insulin delivery.

Embryo Images
Embryo Images Normal and Abnormal Mammalian Development is a tutorial that uses scanning electron micrographs (SEMs) as the primary resource to teach mammalian embryology.

The Mouse Atlas
The emap Atlas is a digital Atlas of mouse embryonic development. It is based on the definitive books of mouse embryonic development by Theiler (1989) and Kaufman (1992) yet extends these studies by creating a series of interactive three-dimensional computer models of mouse embryos at successive stages of development with defined anatomical domains linked to a stage-by-stage ontology of anatomical names.

The Multi-Dimensional Human Embryo
Is a collaboration funded by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) to produce and make available over the internet a three-dimensional image reference of the Human Embryo based on magnetic resonance imaging. The collection of images is intended to serve students, researchers, clinicians, and the general public interested in studying and teaching human development.

KEGG
Is a database of biological systems, consisting of genetic building blocks of genes and proteins (KEGG GENES), chemical building blocks of both endogenous and exogenous substances (KEGG LIGAND), molecular wiring diagrams of interaction and reaction networks (KEGG PATHWAY), and hierarchies and relationships of various biological objects (KEGG BRITE). KEGG provides a reference knowledge base for linking genomes to biological systems and also to environments by the processes of PATHWAY mapping and BRITE mapping.
