HAGEDORN A UNIQUE RESEARCH INSTITUTE

 

The Hagedorn Research Institute (HRI) is a 20,000 sq. ft. three story (+ basement) research facility. There are shared space for explant culture, mammalian cell culture, bacterial culture, micro-dissection, PCR room, microscopy, radioactivity, and micromanipulator. Hagedorn have state-of-the-art microscopes equipped with cameras and computers and with image acquisition software. All laboratory facilities are approved for carrying out gene technology class I work, according to rules stipulated by the European Union.

All staff has access to scanners, printers, a digital matrix camera, and intra- and internet facilities for communication, database searches and web-browsing from workstations.

Other important information:
HRI is located next to Steno Diabetes Center (SDC), which is the leading diabetes institution in Denmark. HRI and SDC have common seminars and meetings, given a strong collaboration between the two institutions.
